assoc. prof. Aimee Dietz, PhD

Dr. Aimee Dietz is speech-language pathologist, with nearly 25 years of experience working with people who have aphasia.

She has dedicated her career to improving outcomes for people with aphasia—first as a clinician, then as a clinical researcher. Above all, Dr. Dietz is an advocate for people with aphasia and collaborates with key partners as she seeks to elucidate the role of AAC in in the language recovery process.

She has also cultivated a line of inquiry that explores how mind-body practices might be harnessed to build resilience and coping for people with post-stroke aphasia and their co-survivors.
