Milen Nakov

Milen Nakov is the Chairperson of the National Association of Professionals Working in Centers for Special Educational Support.

Mr. Nakov has been the director of the “Petko Rachev Slaveikov” Center for Special Educational Support (CSES) in Pleven since 1992. He holds a master’s degree in Defectology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.”

As a director and together with the pedagogical team, the work in special education under his leadership has been highly recognized at the highest levels, including by the Ministry of Education and Science (MES), the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), and academic circles from various higher education institutions across the country. He promotes effective models and practices at municipal, national, and international levels for implementing integrated pedagogical strategies and techniques in the education of children and students with special educational needs. Mr. Nakov actively participates in drafting regulatory documents related to the education of children and students with special educational needs.
